today we finished hanging the general light plot. i worked with kelsey, abbi, margie, and lexii.you directed us since we couldnt find the plot. we hung a few lights and troubleshot a lot of lights. kelsey and i also re-weighted one of the electrics.
i guess every time i do lights, i just think about what if i was a designer? and i'm still really undecided. on the one hand i like working with lights, but i think my "get it done quickly" mentality would be really bad for designing, cause as you explained today, plugging lights in to random channels doesn't make a good light plot. there is a bit of a science when it come to circuiting, i guess i just want to know how people figure that out. so i have a question for jess when she comes for her workshop(s).
today as a stage manager, i tried to help as many people as possible. so when lexii or kelsey asked for help i tried to help as best as i could. i also downloaded the fottage from rehearsal yesterday.today as a young artist! i had a huge brain blast about my play, and i'm really excited to get to work on version 2.0. the new idea involves cutting a big issue i was having with my play, and that was the stealing aspect, even when writing it it kinda cam out of nowhere, and was a confusing plot, but cutting that can clean it up.version 2.0 also involves changing some character traits about my main boys, that i think makes them less stereotypical, and more realistic.so im quite excited to start 2.0
pg-100
today i worked on lights. i tried to stay in charge of the light crew when you weren't there. i trouble shot alot of lights, and learned a bit about actually circuting.i learned how to change a parcan bulb.and kelsey and i re-weighted one of the electrics.
