Tartuffe 1.1
So my first impression of this play is wow rhyming.it's pretty crazy.the whole play has been translated and it still rhymes! Every line. It made it kind of hard to follow at first because I was caught on the rhyme pattern, but I re-read it and the rhyming made it easier to understand as it went on.
So basically what happened so far is this man Orgon and his family recently started living with a priest named Tartuffe. Orgon is married and has two kids, each with maids, so I'm guessing they're pretty rich. His mother Madame Pernelle comes for a visit and is quickly disgusted by the family's attitude about Tartuffe. The children and even the maids complain. Pernelle is clearly from a different time because she's angry with maids speaking out of turn and even orgons wife Elimire and how she runs the household.
I'm wondering if that will be an issue later on in the play. I also get the feeling that the children will some how disrespect either Tartuffe or Madame Pernelle. And I'm slightly confused as to why Tartuffe is there in the first place, it might have been explained but right now I didn't catch it.

Today I helped tech for nths. And I hope to be on that stage next year getting inducted. When I went home I read Tartuffe, and worked on some sequences for the film. Basically I drew out some in-between moments that I didn't draw in the storyboard because they're kind of "if we can do this" ideas.and I drew out some blocking I want to work over with Emily. And I looked up some songs if I end up using music at any point in the film.
