tuesday-
oh my god welcome back to blogging. its been atleast 2 months.something like that. that means reading again, and participation and all that jazz.

but for this week i'm working on my sm book, and my post mortem.

POST MORTEM:
So life as a stage manager. To start from the beginning I was scared,to manage a whole show? to manage the seniors and freshman once they came to Rehearsal? Even the juniors;most of them know so much more than i do and I didn’t want them to think of me as stupid. it was a rough start to say the least. But we started off easy, without much tech and just taking notes for Aladren. Katelyn and I worked out our rehearsal report schedule, and everything went okay.
Thank god for Katelyn! I’m extremely thankful that I had Katelyn to fall back on. That's one thing I really liked about this experience, I had another sophomore who knew exactly what my head was like because her head was the same way! I knew that we would help each other in times of huge stress.
we started in-class rehearsals in January I think. It was mostly everyone finding their character, finding how they would walk, talk, fall, run. I liked observing the actors work, and I think in the end I taught me some things as an actor and director. Rehearsals were always funny to watch. We were going to record all rehearsals and eventually create a documentary type film, but we could never find time for transferring film from the good cameras to the Mac. Looking back though I wish we continued filming because it would be great to see my personal progress as a stage manager.

today i worked with the building trades kids on taking apart walls. i helped un-screw screws from all of our walls that we worked so hard to spackle, paint and put up.it hurt a bit, but like a band aid you just have to pull it off. i also started taking down some gels and black fabric from the traveler. when i went home i worked on finding pictures that i can used for my sm book.
